# The planets

Planets are the progression of Cosmine. Your total rig level decides where you are; each planet raises the cap of your free power and opens its own set of 8 rig cards. ### Moon

The Moon set is open to everyone and holds the daily combo cards. A planet's cards stay locked until you reach it; the rig level that counts is the sum of every card you own, so upgrading cheap Moon cards also moves you toward Mars.

### How to climb faster

Keep upgrading the cheapest card you own: every level of any card counts toward the next planet. Take the free roll and the daily combo for Flux, crack the gold and void asteroids when they come, and spend spins with a multiplier when you have plenty. Once a new planet opens, its first cards pay back their price in about an hour of rig income, so the newest set is usually the best use of your Flux.

Each planet looks different in the sky above your asteroid: the cratered Moon, red Mars with its polar caps, the banded clouds and great red storm of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn and the deep blue of Neptune with its dark spot.

### Free power and the cap

Free power counts in the pool only up to the cap of the planet you are on, and only while your rig is refuelled. Paid miners from the shop count on top, in their own part of each block.
